Aside from printing out the error message returned (if there is one)
you could check the tables for consistancy and possibly try selecting
a single row from each table manually.

Just a guess ... there's now nothing to join on ml_amm.

Worst case: restore the tables from backup and, if it works, diff the
old tables with the current tables to see what's different. (You DO
do backups, right?)
