There are plenty of references to "The backup set holds a backup of a
database other than the existing" if you search Google.

You don't specify if you have created the new database before trying to
restored (which is not necessary!) If the file locations of the old database
do not correspond with the file location of the new database, you may get
this message if you do not change the locations. You may also need to
specify the overwrite option.
