Because I cannot afford any further SUN certification; anything beyond SCNA
requires a very silly and very expensive instructor led course, I've
decided to switch platforms. IBM seems to be quite attractive an
alternative to Solaris; the _entire_ IBM certification curriculum is
available in pdf format, free to download.

Switching OS would imply switching hardware.

Can anybody give me an educated 2 cents about whether swapping an "Ultra10
440Mhz" for an "RS/6000 43p model 140 233Mhz" would hardware wise
constitute a fair deal, given the same amount of memory and disk space in
both machines?
