Or some number in between.

One thing to do is to look at the WWNs of the devices you're seeing.
This will at least tell you whether you are seeing the same object
down multiple paths (I suspect that, here, you are not, but who
knows).

Given that this is presumably storage on an EMC SAN you probably will
never be able to tell how many actual physical spindles you have, of
course: I presume what you're interested in is how many distinct LUNs
it is exposing to you.
