Default Re: ESS-F20 vs. FastT900

I have both a F20 and a FastT 600 with an 700EXP expansion. It all
depends on what your trying to do. I've been warned not to mix FastT
and ESS disk on the same FC adapter, it's been a long time since I did
it.

But, if you only have one system attached to it, and your not doing a
lot of intense IO's, the FastT is great. We use it for our test
systems. If you have multiple machines, you'll need to by the
partitioning code to present luns to each machine like the ESS.

The 900 is faster than the 600, and in some tests I've heard it can
beat the ESS, but I've heard that it doesn't scale as well for size,
and doesn't scale as well under a heavy IO load.

But, we like it for our TSM, test systems, and are looking at another
FastT for a document imaging system.
