Applying patches during shutdown was broken by a patch and fixed by a
subsequent patch. Patch 121086-02 (SPARC) is the one that fixes the
problem. The x86 equivalent is 121087-02. Curiously, these patches
are marked interactive, which means that `smpatch update' won't apply
them. `smpatch add -i' will apply them. No interaction is required.
I don't know how the GUI handles this situation.
