I appreciate your effort but what kind of advise is this?
I know that running any application in the environment it was design to
work in is the best choice. Any emulation is just an emulation and has
some risks associated with.
But my reality is at the moment that I have a Progress installed on SCO
Unix and a spare system with SuSE on it which I try to use as a
temporary backup system.
In theory, IBCS supposed to allow running SCO Unix applications on Linux
and that's what I try to do. (I've actually been successful with that
about 6 years ago on Caldera OpenLinux but that was just an experiment
and I didn't keep any notes on it.)
Thanks anyway.
