I suspect that you are looking for some degree of conditionality re.
the use of DELETE across a variety of user profiles and client
applications combinations. If this is the case, then you certainly
need a Driver with an in-built rules engine that will allow you to set
conditional DELETE privileges across your desired profiles (and
enforce this server side so it cannot be violated on the client via
ODBC settings reconfiguration).
OpenLink's Multi-Tier Drivers will certainly offer you this sort of
granularity.
