I got the same error in 9.30.UC5 and 9.40.UC1 (but not in 9.30.UC1). The
errors are gone after I increased the shmmax parameter in /etc/system to
1GB. ontape also had a problem.

set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=1073741824
