Why not consider trying FreeBSD 7 instead? Wind River stopped sales of
BSD/OS in 2003 and ended support in 2004. Any hardware that came out after
that is probably not supported.
Seeing as you're already in "rebuild" mode, what would stop you from
slapping a FreeBSD 7 CD in and giving it a go? At the very least if that
doesn't pan out you can still go back to a virgin install of BSD/OS
afterwards.
