You can just remove the package you don't want, but don't just run
'upgradepkg --install-new' if you don't want a broken system.

Read UPGRADE.TXT and CHANGES_AND_HINTS.TXT first.

I think a better name for PAM might be SCAM, for Swiss Cheese Authentication
Modules, and have never felt that the small amount of convenience it provides
