It won't hurt your system to tyr it, but you might get some glitchy results. If you have one lying around pop it in, but if you have to spend more than $200 for the non-IBM version, just buy a used IBM 2849 GXT135P PCI Graphics Accelerator with Digital Support. It's the only IBM card that works on those boxes.
