The operating system does not recognise the hard-disk eventhough the
BIOS leve does

1) what solaris version ?

2) If hard-disk not listed in sun engineering hand-book , then most
likely not supported by
solaris

3) Does the hdd have any s/ware driver that can be install on the
solaris?

4) Is it worth-while to use the old hdd to store the precious data?
