I've got an Ultra Enterprise 2 that I recently upgraded to Solaris 9
a few days ago. Today, I opened the CD tray to insert a disk, then
closed it (both via the button the CD drive). It thought for a few
seconds, then spit the drawer back open again. I tried it a couple
times, then gave up, figuring it was a bad CD. When I tried to
close the empty CD tray, it did the same thing (thought for a few
seconds, then spit it back out). Now I can't get the tray to stay
closed.
I disabled a bunch of services for security purposes, but RPC,
smserverd, and vold are all running. I believe I have the same
setup here that I do on 3 other machines, and none of them have
this trouble.
Any ideas what I should look for?
