At first I would say you have either a broken CDRM reader or a bad CD?
is the cdrom the original or a copy ?
Are you sure to use the correct CD ? sometime I also get confused about
the cd to use and if not bootable, it gives error I don't remember.
can you replace the cdrom reader ?
