Hello everybody,

maybe someone else cn help me with my problem:

i have to learn Solaris so i bought a 10 years old Ultra60 sun
workstation. But this workstation does not boot.

I have no monitor attached, but a VT100 Terminal on Serial A Slot and
the original keyboard and mouse. What happens is:

- workstation beeps
- Keyboard lights are flashing
- CDRom Drive is flickering and this does not stop
- nothing else happens

the CDRom drive flickers on and on, but i cannot open the CD tray to
insert a boot CDRom.

The system seems to have "nothing" on the 9GB HDD drive the seller
told me.

Configuration:
- Ultra 60
- 9 GB HDD
- 512 MB RAM
- 24x CDROM
- no Floppy
- no Monitor

Has anybody an idea what is wrong here? Maybe something with my VT100
Terminal (PC with Hyperterm and RS232 Cable) and therefore the sun
waits for a terminal?
