See document 28032 on http://sunsolve.sun.com/ for the proper
steps on attaching and configuring an external modem on a Sparc
machine. Search for the number "28032" and you'll find that
document and the ones that refer to it.

Make sure the modem is NOT connected to the E250's console port.
