Mine has that ASMI thing that comes up when you plug it in, then from
that I have to tell it to power up, then it logs me out of the ASMI and
then I get nothing. Oddly for the ASMI to work it requires a 19200 baud
setting. I use the first of the two DB9 ports, and tried several
cables. I am using an old trusty null modem cable now which works on
all the oldest and most tempermental IBM hardware and still nothing.
I'll keep trying. I can't make any headway with the network console
server, which stinks b/c I have to take my laptop in there to do it the
other direct connect way - and the room is warm despite the air
conditioning and I have to stand with no Internet access. I know I know
the violin is playing for me... ;-)
