Default Strange network/serial adapter

Hello,
I'm currently having some interventions to perform on a HP 9000-7xx
(with HP-UX 09.05) with a strange card I don't manage to configure.
The card spare number is A3422-40 (nothing about this card on
http://hp.com : It has a 25 pins connectors that looks like a big AUI
connector. I have an Y cable plugged on it with to outputs : a (true)
AUI one and a serial one. On the AUI connector I could plug an
aui/rj45 transceiver and I have the network work fine.

My problem is : I need a second serial port and I only have one port
embedded on the motherboard. I'm trying to use the one on the Y cable
on the adapter from Mars, hoping it can multiplex serial and ethernet
signal (but I'm really not sure of that) Did one of you see such a
card ? Do one of you know how it can be configured (which /dev file
drives that ?) is it possible to have the serial and the network
working simultaneously ?

thanks for your attention...
