The more recent Xf86 X server used with the FireGL-UX display card on
PA-RISC and with all display cards on IPF can get monitor information.
On those systems, run
grep 'Monitor name' /var/X11/Xserver/logs/Xf86.0.log
The older systems and graphics cards don't read that information.
