We have a requirement to move some computers between subnets and wanted to
turn on dhcp on. In doing so the initial configuration will work if we put
the proper gateway into the netconf file and the dhcp stays enabled after
boot. The problem is when we move to another subnet the DHCP server is
either not reached or response does not get back and the HP assumes to stay
on the last configuration. The network is started and is misconfigured and
proceeds to perform a one hour boot. Was there problems in HP
implementation for a mobile device (moving from subnet to subnet) from
working properly? Do we have to do something to facilitate this to work
properly like releasing our lease?
