Well to be honest I'm not sure exactly (as I am posting from work) but
when I purchased it, I opted for an FX4 or something along those lines.
I believe the FX6 was the 'top' graphics card.

My Compaq monitor failed to display anything other than crazy lines
skimming across the screen, on any resolution offered by pressing TAB.

Plugged in the AST Vision 7l and all was OK. Superb stuff, now I have
Gnome running fine. Makes me feel more at home now, since I am used to a
Linux Mandrake set up ;-)
