Start OS/2 using GRUB Hello,
I run an OS/2 installation on the first partition (primary)
of my second hard disk. After OS/2 installation I had removed
the OS/2 boot manager since I had installed it only for being
able to install OS/2 :-/
Currently I boot OS/2 using LILO (Linux is my primary OS)
which is fine. However since GRUB provides some things I would
like to have, I gave it a try.
My OS/2 section in `/boot/grub/menu.lst' looks like this:
| title OS/2 Warp 4.0
| rootnoverify (hd1,0)
| savedefault
| makeactive
| chainloader +1
This does not work. Neither did anything else I tried (I even
installed LILO with only the OS/2 entry into some partition's
boot record). In the above constellation, GRUB just shows me
the settings and then nothing happens.
The infamous `/boot/chain.os2' does not seem to exist nor is
there any hint how to get it, and the GRUB sources only hint
that booting OS/2 *should* work.
Is there any chance I get this working?
Cheers,
Herbert
