Hi to all, excuses for crossposting. (perhaps there is a more
appropriate ng?)

I have a strange problem using audacity v. 1.2.0-pre1 on suse linux
8.0,and a chaintech apogee 9pjl motherboard with a soundchip that linux
(alsa drivers) recognises correctly as 'cmipci'.

The problem is that when i record from line i get only a mono input and
very low volume. Playing is fine.

Note that with the older version of audacity 1.0.0 i can record stereo
with a decent level.

Something with the management of this sound drivers must be happened
meanwhile... ??

Anybody has experienced something similar and/or solved it?
