Default Linux Beginner

I am a beginner - still wet(very) behind the ears so to speak.
Recently over the holidays I received two versions of Linux - redhat
8.0(personal ed.) & Xandros(version doc & info at office). I would
like to install both versions on one pc as a dual-boot machine. The
pc is a dual P3 on an Asus p2b-d sysboard w/seagate st136475lw scsi hd
(36GB). What would be the proper way of installing both versions? Is
a particular order preffered? Should any partitioning and foramtting
be done before installation process? If so what? And if there is
anything that I may have missed or forgotten please feel free to make
recommendations. Thanks!!
