Hello,

I "successfully" completed a RH9 Linux [CD] installation on a
stand-alone AMD box. It created 2 Linux Ext3 and one Linux Swap partition.

When I boot into linux, after much of OKs and some hesitation after
"Entering non-interactive startup | Checking for new hardware" it hangs
forever at "Updating /etc/fstab".

I can exit only by alt-ctrl-del.

I have Win XP on the same machine but I don't know how to read a linux
boot protocol file to post it here.

There might be some non-compatible (?) hardware like Adaptec AIC-7850
PCI SCSI Controller.
