Linux 10.0 is a few decades down the road, if they keep the same pace.

AFAIK the main sound functionality comes from the VIA VT8237 south
bridge, and it is sort-of supported by the VIA 8233 sound driver
(someone mentioned something like that in another thread on the K8V
(or Athlon 64 MBs in general)).

I have a SB Audigy (without suffix, rev 03), and the things I have
tried work (I don't create music, though); however, I guess this card
is no longer sold (maybe used).
