Random guess, as the OP missed to give us info about the distro
he's running, he's needs the compat-libstdc++-? package for Red
Hat 7.3 backwards compatibility to get things working, perhaps
one or another symlink and running 'ldconfig'.

From my box:

lrwxr-xr-x 1 root root 31 May 14 21:54 /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 -> libstdc++-3-libc6.2-2-2.10.0.so

There are a few more of them:

compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.128
compat-libstdc++-devel-7.3-2.96.128
compat-glibc-7.x-2.2.4.32.6
