Can install without a DVD drive.

There was an issue with DVD install on some machines, it works with a
trick I don't remember.

Unless you want to "roll your own" distribution, forget this for now.

And what you didn't ask, FC4 is stable, I've had problems installing FC5
on about half the machines I tried. I believe it involves the ACPI code,
but frankly don't have a need to be cutting edge on stable machines. As
a new user FC4 *may* be a smoother path to a working system.
