Try adding a line to the boot prompt too.
select the text mode, and also type vga=normal
(Otherwise it tries to switch into framebuffer mode which may also cause the
odd problem and take more RAM)

But as someone else said, you might need more memory than 64meg to run a
SuSE live CD.
