You should run those LAMP application that Debian distribut as
packages. That is much safer, as you will automaticly get an update
with rest of your system. If you install software yourself, you have
to have check when new update/security fixes are there for you to
download. With debian packages, it get fixed for you automaticly, not
like MS Windows.
If you want to run something that isn't packed, then you need to
install it yourself.
