I don't see where that says anything that implies 5.0.5 is not
recommended on a Duron, unless Durons use "the same netburst
architecture as P4".

I would be wary, but I haven't seen anything definitive one way or the
other, so if I had to stick to 5.0.5, and dual P3 or dual P3-xeon
wasn't good enough, (or I couldn't get smp for whatever reason), then
I'd try a current AMD. As it happens, in that event I wouldn't use a
Duron, but only for the same reasons I wouldn't use a Celeron, I would
use whatever was the best 32bit AMD at the time.
