The virus sends itself to all of the folks in the victim's address
book, and all of the newsgroups the victim subscribes to.

The virus, actually a trojan horse, picks an address in the
victim's address book and uses it as the supposed sender of the news
message, or email messages.

The victim is probably unaware of his computer's new hobby.
