There are a lot of words with accents in Dutch and the QWERTY- (US)
keyboard is standard here.
And yes, you can: à, á, ä, ã.
With Slack - in OO - the accents don't work at all: quotes are impossible.
OO on Suse and Gentoo did not have this problem, as far as I remember.
And I know that the keyboard defs in Gentoo's XF86Config were no different
from those in Slack.
I googled in AOLS to no avail.
