Good idea. On my system, /dev/mouse is symlinked to /dev/misc/psaux.
(I've a Red Hat system remember.) The reason for this is so that an app can
be hard coded to look for /dev/mouse, as opposed to having to be configured
at run time to look for something else (/dev/psaux, /dev/ttyS0, etc).
