Metacity, the default window manager of gnome, can't do this. But if you
change to something like blackbox or fluxbox, it would be possible.
"gkrellm -w" starts gkrellm inside the slit (google for it or check
fluxbox.org, they explain what the slit is).
It's also possible to change the default WM in gnome. But IMHO Nautilus
have a strange behavior with *box. It could be a little tricky to get
everything work the way you want.
