Slackware 10.0 comes with parted 1.16.11 in the extras directory on CD 3.
I don't know whether parted 1.16.11 will do what is needed. It ought
to be possible to boot the rescue disk, install the parted package on
the ramdisk and then go to town on the partition, if parted 1.16.11
will do what is needed.
