I've done this and can say that sata.i works fine with the Silicon
Image controller (the red jacks on this board).

The Slackware 10.1 sata.i however, doesn't appear to like the nvidia
sata controller (the black jacks) on this board. (I did get it working
with the 2.6.11-rc4 kernel)

Also, don't plan on installing from a SATA CD or DVD drive regardless
of which controller it is plugged in to; the sata.i kernel doesn't
support ATAPI over SATA. (I did get my Plextor SATA DVD drive working
with the 2.6.11-rc4 after applying Jeff Garzik's libata patches at
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kern...garzik/libata/)
