Unless you tell us what you done exhausting the other possibilities you
will only get the same suggestions again here. Those suggestions might be
things like trying to flash a new BIOS or removing a second HD.

Do you have more than one HD in the machine? Does the machine boot if you
remove the second HD? I have seen this problem on a machine which had a
second HD which was contaned a copy of the first HD (done with dd). In
some way lilo got confused, maybe by two HDs having some kind of timestamp
which was identical.
