I have an Orinoco gold card and am using the pcmcia-cs orinoco_cs driver
with a great deal of success. I would check out:

http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/SUPPORTED.CARDS

as they give a pretty thorough list of supported cards. It is pretty damn
annoying how they don't change the product name when they switch
chipset... bastards ;-)!!
