Take note that "make modules_install" might clean out some things you
expect to find in /lib/modules/*, like alsa. If possible, copy the new
module(s) manually, do a 'depmod -a' and hope for the best instead.
Or just re-emerge stuff that lives in /lib/modules after running make.
To find candidates, 'epm -qf /lib/modules/*'.
