well, i came across that error as well, i did two things:
- mkdir /usr/share/apps/sim/plugins, locate __homedir.la
symlink the old __homedir.la to the location where the new ebuild
expects it
- add to FEATURES "-sandbox"

sorry, i don't know which one did it, so please try either the first or
the letter option and tell back wether it worked.
