hi!

during boot the init.d/modules script tells me that there are missing
modules, such as sg, st, sr-mod, ide-cd, ide-tape...
i figured out, that these modules are all probed in the
/etc/modules.devfs. it's right, the modules are missing, but because i
don't need them, i don't need any scsi device drivers or ide-cdrom/tape.
the modules.devfs says: do not edit! if i do, the "fatal errors" are
gone. where do i fix this correctly?
i'm using the latest 2.6 dev kernel.
