What is the output of 'file *.avi'? That'll tell you if they really are
avis, or just named like that.

It wouldn't amaze me if it were sitting a whole night converting a DVD
to XVid or something. It's a tough process.

The problem with the world is stupidity. Not saying there should be a
capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the
safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
