I have just installed from the 2004.1 live CD.
I have a KT600-A motherboard with an Athlon-XP 2500.
I was able to complete the install with the 2.4.25 kernel.
I cannot get the onboard NIC to work.
I have emerged nforce-net with no errors.
Whenever I modprobe nvnet I get a 'no such device' error.
What can I do?

Someone on IRC suggested installing the 2.6 kernel because it has nforce
support built in.
Is it possible for me to install this kernel with my current system or do
I need to restart the installation from scratch?
If I need to do a complete re-install then how do I specifiy the 2.6
kernel?
