Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
I found my answer on IRC.

It seems that I needed to switch on "CONFIG_MSDOS_PARTITION".
Which is weird, because in my 2.6.6 kernel, I did not set it myself, in
fact, I don't remember setting it at all.

Either way, it's fixed now.
