Which means dropping genkernel.

Which means do the kernel configuration & building yourself. Easy
enough, and a 2.6 kernel (gentoo-dev-sources) is even easier than a
2.4 (gentoo-sources) kernel.

The problem with the world is stupidity. Not saying there should be a
capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the
safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
