On a multiboot system? Explain please.

I have actually considered doing the same thing... (Dual booting
between gentoo and freebsd-4) but so far my fast internet connection
has kept me from taking any action.

Sometimes I wish there were a good, simple, free and extremely
portable filesystem which we could use for such a purpose.

Anyone have better suggestions?
