Well, initially, very long. I would get an install cd and the packages cd
and install from that medium first. Then, SOME updates (X, java-sdk,
kde, gnome, etc) will take a bit to download, others will not take
long. But if you stay current, it may not be too bad if you stick with the
system libraries and minor packages.
