That was your newsreader rendering the plain text attachment as if it was
the body. If you look at the source of the post, you'll see:

Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1;
protocol="application/pgp-signature";
boundary="------------enigD9EB8E4DAC0E6B222D8E09BE"
[...]

This is an OpenPGP/MIME signed message (RFC 2440 and 3156)

For those not using a newsreader that auto-extracts the attachments and
presents those that are viewable (like your client does), the user either
has to look at the source or save the attachments and look at them that way.
Of course, feel free to do it this way, but it may limit the number of
people who'll actually read the post.
